Alexander Kurkchi, artist.

Alexander Kurkchi, Ukrainian Modern Artist uses a focused and original lens in the creation of his works, both in the form of interior and exterior paintings of different dimensions. Like photography, which reflects on a captured moment in interesting ways, Alexander’s work captures the essence of events in ways that transcend them to create new and original works.

His work is sometimes emotionally expressive. At other times, it seems abstract and focal, and sometimes shows trends of minimalism. Some of his work uses the transformation of well-known symbols, codes, and signs that had been passed down to us through the centuries.

Some of his works have the clear definitions of a genre, whereas others are not so transparent, and give an abstract reflection of the artist’s emotional condition at the time of their creation.

The artist’s sphere of interests includes the achievement of phonism, expressionism, and primitivism. What differentiates Alexander from his contemporaries is his use of the discoveries of past artists to create his own artistic dimension.

A trademark of A. Kurkchi is his use of color. In works that reflect the real world, vibrant colors create form and texture, while simultaneously adding liveliness, dimension, and a sense of untouched innocence. In the more abstract of his works, colors are given overtones with the use of lines, forms, and shapes of different configuration to achieve a consistent harmony.

Imaginatively laid out, perfectly composed, rhythmically organized, colorfully balanced, and artistically painted, the artistic works of Alexander Kurkchi add to their environment with their directness, incite thought, and display the tremendous artistic potential of the young artist.
